Elipse offers software solutions for DCIM integration that allow collecting infrastructure data, such as temperature, humidity, flooding, smoke, presence, biometric readers, cameras, energy meters, and generators.
Usually, Data Centers use different systems for different management needs:
With Elipse DCIM, you can unify these systems into a single platform, either integrated or distributed among different servers, in order to facilitate the everyday routine of managers and operators, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency!
Elipse DCIM is a modular solution for data centers’s real-time planning, management, traceability, and intelligence. Very flexible, it can easily connect to pre-existing software systems, hardware, and processes, with wide-ranging ability to accommodate new implementations and integrations.
The purpose of our product is that end-users themselves (or their solution providers) can have full control of all adjustments in the system, such as adding or removing racks and equipment.
The fundamental principles of this solution are:
Assets Modeling
Using a Netbox connection, dynamically synchronize your assets modeling, such as Sites, Floors, Cages, Racks, and Devices, directly on the platform at regular intervals or on demand. This will allow you to execute customized routines for each asset.
Connectivity
We have more than 450 I/O drivers that communicate with several different pieces of equipment, controllers, and IoT, including protocols such as Bacnet, SNMP, Modbus, and MQTT. With them, you can map assets variables and follow their performance in real time.
Energy
We offer solutions for any of the DC’s energy monitoring demands, like substations or primary cabins, backup generators, circuits, distribution, and sector-specific measurements. Get comparative studies and analyses on how each sector, rack, or client consumes energy, and use them as the starting point on energy efficiency measures.
Environmental Controls
By integrating BMS and DCIM functions, you can monitor the whole HVAC infrastructure, especially temperature and humidity, and follow its impact via heat maps, both inside and outside the racks. You can also simulate the thermal impact of adding new racks and equipment.
Planing and Expansion
Gauge the impact of adding new equipment to the system beforehand by checking power overload and space allocation in the racks. You can simulate space and power consumption through time and its impacts in the operation.
Documentation and Traceability
We propose a methodology for registering the DC’s assets where all the information pertaining wiring and connections, as well as the localization of equipment and racks, is stored in a single place. With this, you can easily access the data center’s as-built documentation, maintain traceability of changes made to the system and locate them on the floors, and improve data organization and agility in your operations.
Calculation of Indicators
This solution allows calculations based on historic and real-time data in order to obtain indicators such as PUE or any other required customization. The EPM Processor, integrated to a Python-language API, enables you to convert data and send alerts or alarms whenever any deviation is detected.
Projections and Algorithms
Similarly to what happens with the calculation of indicators, the EPM Processor executes artificial intelligence algorithms, which allows carrying out future projections and indicating, via alarms and events, situations with the potential of impacting DC operations even before they take place. Likewise, it’s also possible to detect any anomalies by observing certain patterns of behavior and to open service orders for both preventive and corrective actions.
Dashboards and Reports
With Elipse DCIM, it’s possible to create several types of dashboards and reports, which allow not only creating analyses and comparative studies inside the company but also sharing this data externally. You will be able to, among others, gauge the monthly costs of every collocation customer, create comparative studies per period, or even evaluate the efficiency of service orders.
Security
Manage the access to different areas in the data center and keep relevant information under the control of authorized personnel only by using granular permission control, cryptography, and safe protocols such as HTTPS and SNMP V3. The DC can also integrate to CFTV cameras system.
