Elipse and GAB seal cooperation agreement deal for new water & wastewater solution
Grupo Águas do Brasil (GAB, or Brazilian Waters Group, in Portuguese) and Elipse Software have announced a collaboration agreement to jointly create a new platform called Elipse Water. Developed by Elipse Software, the platform will have its soft launch at selected GAB’s concessions during a testing period, allowing adjustments and improvements to be made before its wider, official release.
Elipse Water features a graphic tool designed for hydraulic network modeling. With it, users can add and connect elements such as: junctions, pipelines, reservoirs, tanks, consumption points, pumps, valves, and District Metered Areas (DMA) settings. As the platform evolves, GAB will be able to import the registers of its GIS control system by synchronizing the platforms’s databases, which makes for easier maintenance and location of each component.
Using this hydraulic model, Elipse Water is able to identify, in a customized and contextualized way, the characteristics and properties of each component, as well as how they connect and operate. This generates operational intelligence to the business, in order to make the sanitation process increasingly efficient. Additionally, it allows systems to evolve to other areas and control all water and wastewater cycles with state-of-the-art technology.
“We see our partnership with Grupo Águas do Brasil as a turning point in Elipse’s journey to develop products that focus on the main challenges faced by Brazilian water and wastewater providers. With Elipse Water, we can help these companies spot and reduce losses, optimize their operations, and increase energy efficiency, among others,” says Elipse Software’s development director, Alexandre Balestrin Corrêa.
