Elipse Power Load Shedding algorithm evaluates scenarios that can potentially cause instability to the electric system, and by pre-selecting the load sets to be turned off in such events, the solution acts upon them in few milliseconds.
The module runs continuous simulations on each scenario, calculating which loads would be discarded in case an instability occurs. This helps to keep the protection system constantly informed on which breakers are to take action even before the destabilizing event occurs, thus making the time between detecting the problem and effectively turning off the loads as short as possible. With it, the system can recover quickly, finding a new point of stability.
