Process Operation

Operational efficiency

Process industries operate in a highly complex and competitive environment. To keep up, they need dynamic, flexible systems, and they also need to raise efficiency and get the most out of their assets.

To help your company reach these goals, Elipse Software offers more than real-time SCADA and management systems. We also provide a roadmap for integrating and training professionals, plus a platform for developing solutions and adding value. Together, these build an alliance between technology partners, specialized systems integrators, and end users.

Elipse’s value proposition for continuous process operation is built on data integration. It starts with data collection and processing, moves on to contextualizing and analyzing information, and ends with decisive actions that improve efficiency. The result is a better return and a more productive operation, in a virtuous cycle.

One of the core components of this architecture is Elipse E3, a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system known for its broad communication capabilities, data modeling, and flexibility. Thousands of clients around the world use it today in highly complex, mission-critical applications. Event and alarm data generated by Elipse E3 can be collected and analyzed by Elipse Alarm Manager (EAM), which provides analysis tools and insights for corrective action, helping reduce risk and increase process stability.

Elipse E3 can also be integrated with Elipse Plant Manager (EPM), our historian and real-time data management system. EPM stores data efficiently and in context, as events and time series. That includes data from E3 and from other systems, so EPM becomes a central repository of operational data. The platform offers tools for different user profiles and applications, from visual exploration and data search to analytics such as mass balance, machine learning, and energy efficiency, as well as custom reports and a dashboard portal.

To round out the solution, Elipse Mobile runs on any smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android). Users can view real-time variables and indicators, send commands (depending on their permissions), and collect data in the field. Field data collection is especially useful when the plant still has non-digital instruments or when inspection routines are required. Data can be collected online or offline, the results can be integrated with EPM or other databases, and service order requests can be sent automatically to maintenance systems.

To bring together everything that matters for daily plant management, and to track every occurrence on each shift, Operalis Portal lets you organize tasks and activities into customizable workflows in BPM (Business Process Management) format. Data from Elipse E3, EPM, Elipse Mobile, and other databases can be consolidated into management reports. Together, these create a plant logbook that supports operational decisions and the upkeep of multiple processes.
