To better integrate our platforms with a wide range of equipment and automation systems, Elipse Software offers a portfolio of more than 500 drivers. We regularly develop new drivers and improve and adapt existing ones for projects with custom requirements.

NEW DRIVERS:

Driver Siemens ISOTCP v1.0.1 – (download): driver for communication with Siemens PLCs via the ISO Transport Protocol over TCP (ISOTCP) in Ethernet networks.

Driver National Instruments NI-DAQmx v1.0.1 – (download): driver for communication with data acquisition devices (DAQ Devices) by National Instruments.

UPDATES:

Driver Modicon Modbus Master (ASC/RTU/TCP) v4.0.18 – (download): driver for communication with any device that supports the Modbus protocol. Works as master, with the device as slave, and can communicate in ASCII, RTU, or TCP/Ethernet formats. This version features the following updates:

  • Support for choosing the PLC/block tags to be left out of Superblock read grouping was added.
  • Support for secure communication in compliance with the Modbus/TCP Security specification (TLS 1.2, certificate validation, and mutual authentication) was added.

Driver Elipse RESTAPIClient v1.0.4 – (download): driver that implements the HTTP/HTTPS protocol, allowing Elipse applications to communicate with RESTful APIs via standard HTTP methods and exchange data in JSON format. This version features the following updates:

  • A new read mode with no template via JSONPath tags was added. The tag’s Item parameter receives the path to the value in the JSON response, prefixed with $ (dollar sign). It supports nested keys, indexes, wildcards, date macros, and value timestamps.
  • Any request with a template value not yet written to a send block tag is now refused, and the field is recorded in the log file. In previous versions of this driver, this request was sent with an empty body or the template’s keyword in place of the value.
  • Texts with diacritics are now sent and received correctly, with the request body in UTF-8 format. In previous versions of this driver, values with diacritics interrupted the write when sent, and reached the tag corrupted when received from the API.
  • Writing to a block element beyond the last template item in the associated JSON format now fails with a message in the log file, instead of causing an invalid access.
  • Any field declared as a list in a send template in JSON format, such as “field”: [“E3VAL”], is now sent as a list. In previous versions of this driver, the value overwrote the list, and the field was sent as a single value.
  • Values received as text are now converted into numbers only when the whole text represents a number. Texts such as IP addresses (192.168.17.30) are delivered as text.
  • Any HTTP response in the 2XX range (200 to 299) is now treated as successful. In previous versions of this driver, only code 200 was accepted.
  • Writing to a whole send block tag at once now distributes each element to the parameter of its respective position, as was already the case when writing element by element.

Driver Elipse SequenceWebService v1.0.4 – (download): driver that integrates Elipse applications with other applications through a .NET web service, which receives data and updates I/O tags or block tags in Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water applications. This version features the following updates:

  • Fixed a read failure in the Value field when it is sent as a JSON array in block tag update requests.
  • Documented the return codes for web service requests.

Driver Convert TRJTracker v1.0.4 – (download): driver that implements the TRJ-TK protocol for communication with Convert TRJ solar trackers, manufactured by Valmont Industries, Inc., through Convert Italia S.p.A. This version features the following updates:

  • Added the Modbus TCP (MBAP) framing mode, which allows communicating with a device through a Modbus TCP gateway, and the Extended status block option, which indicates whether the device returns the extended status block (57 elements) or the short block (54 elements).
  • Modbus protocol exception responses are now recognized and recorded in this driver’s log.

Driver MQTT v1.0.45 – (download): driver that connects Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This version features the following updates:

  • Added the Trace Level option to the General tab. This option sets the level of detail of the entries recorded in the log, including transmitted and received MQTT packets, and does not require installing Npcap. Raw byte capture of network interface packets is now optional and disabled by default.
  • Fixed an issue where the read timestamp (TS_TEXT) inside a Repeat_E3VAL keyword could be recorded incorrectly, especially in messages with multiple repetitions.

Driver IEC 870-5-104 (Master, Slave) v4.0.25 – (download): driver that implements the master and slave modes of the IEC 870-5-104 protocol. This version features the following update: certificate-based TLS encryption with strong algorithms only (TLS 1.3 and TLS 1.2 with ECDHE + AEAD) was added.

Driver STATTUS4 Ada v1.0.3 – (download): this driver works with the Ada System, developed by the Brazilian company Stattus4 for water distribution networks, which provides communication between physical devices such as pressure and flow sensors. This version features the following updates:

  • More log entries showing sent and received data were added.
  • The pagination start page number was corrected to a valid value.

Driver Alstom BAC v2.0.12 – (download): driver used for data exchange in traffic control and train signaling applications in the São Paulo subway system. This version features the following updates:

  • Double Channel’s behavior was corrected.
  • Support for more than one application address in slave mode was added.
  • Both Master and Slave profiles were revised.

Driver Siemens M-Prot (PPI, MPI, ISOTCP) v4.0.39 – (download): driver for communication with industrial networks in the Siemens S7 PLC family (S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, and S7-1500). This version features the following update: added tolerance for multiple spaces between String, WString, or Array data types and the bracket character when importing tags from TIA Portal.

Driver Allen-Bradley Ethernet/IP (ABCIP) v3.0.28 – (download): driver for communication with Rockwell controllers from the ControlLogix, FlexLogix, and CompactLogix families, through Ethernet or Serial connections, using the EtherNet/IP and CIP protocols. This version fixes the rejection of atomic symbols when a controller returns zero as the size of an element (Symbol Object), which caused the removal of certain tags from the Tag Browser window.
