03/03/2026

Check out the latest developments for Elipse drivers

To better integrate our platforms with several types of equipment and automation systems, we at Elipse Software present a portfolio that currently offers more than 490 different drivers. We focus on developing new drivers on a regular basis, as well as on improving and adapting the existing ones for projects that require customized needs.

UPDATES:

Driver Ping v3.0.14: driver for monitoring and communicating with devices connected via IP address. To set it up, you will need to locate the driver’s DLL and set up the I/O tags’ N parameters to the connected device or machine address. A GPF used to occur when executing the ping address; it was fixed for this version.

Driver WebService API Rest Client v1.0.1, 1.0.2, and 1.0.3: driver for APIs REST integration. It allows reading and sending data to web services, working with JSON requests and responses to interpret or assemble messages, and automating whole integrations with no need for external scripts. This version has fixed fails in parsing JSON data and issues of secure communication via HTTPS.

Driver Kentec TaktisMCE v1.0.6: driver for communicating with Kentec Taktis’s fire alarms control panel. It monitors whether the panel is properly set up and working according to the needs of the security system. This version features the following updates:

  • Listen Mode takes in events at any time.
  • New tags to monitor events collection.
  • Properties dialog for extra settings in the driver.
  • Support to Elipse E3’s Tag Browser.
  • Automatic stop of “Events Log” continuous collection.

Ictel CT850 v1.0.2, 1.0.3, and 1.0.4: driver for communicating with the telemetry and telecommand central developed by Ictel. This version features the following updates:

  • The command feedback at Auttom centers, whose position was inverted, was fixed.
  • Adjustments made to Auttom center to follow the rerouting made by legacy system when sending telecommands to Radio 2.
  • Telecommand “86” (0x56) added for writing in devices with Analog SetPoint at CT850 centers.

SNMP Manager (50 connections) v2.0.28: driver that collects information from network devices, such as switches, routers, servers, and others. It can also change settings to allow creating an Elipse E3 application for monitoring networks and infrastructures from different vendors. The driver supports versions V1, V2C and V3 of the protocol. Buffer overflow when decoding an Object ID into string was fixed for this version. It also now supports metadata reading from Trap SNMP v1.

JCI Metasys v1.0.14: driver for building automation. Statistics tags were added to this version.

Driver IEC 61850 (25 connections) v3.0.55: client server for collecting data and controlling IEC-61850-based protection devices in the electricity automation sector. This version features the following updates:

  • GIAllReports tag forces GI of all reports enabled by the driver.
  • ReportItemsUnified block receives all reports’ events via IED.
  • DeviceConnectionStatus, WorkOnline, and DeleteAllDevices tags monitor and control communication with IEDs.
  • Faulty behavior of larger frames (higher than 1500 bytes, approximately) when used alongside PRP protocol was fixed.
  • When attempting to re-enable reports after a communication shortage: if a report is RptEna=TRUE, the driver will not enable if ResvTms = 0.
  • XMPP mode operation revised.

Driver MQTT v1.0.41: connects devices of the Internet of Things (IoT). This version features support to Sparkplug B. Further details at the story.

Driver Alstom BAC v2.0.7: driver used for data exchange between traffic control and train signaling application in the São Paulo subway system. Master profile was reviewed for this version.

ZabbixDriver v1.0.2: driver developed to integrate supervision centers like Zabbix, allowing to directly collect and monitor IT infrastructure data in such environments. Zabbix is an open-code monitoring tool geared to IT infrastructure. This version features parameterization for connections by HOSTNAME and replaces the separator “:” (colon) with “;” (semicolon).
