Elipse Plant Manager version 6.0 update

30/01/2025

EPM 6.0 features a new Driver Interface compatible with several automation devices

Elipse Software has updated its platform for digital transformation and real-time data management. The new features of Elipse Plant Manager (EPM) version 6.0 optimize its data analysis system, from implementation to security, to ensure users’ operations will run smoothly.

EPM 6.0 has a new collection interface that can establish communication with several different devices, from several different vendors, via Elipse Software’s nearly 500-driver portfolio. To provide greater flexibility, the software is now compatible with PostgreSQL 16 databases.

With the new version, users will be able to export widgets’ data to CSV files in EPM Portal and therefore be able to analyze them through their devices of choice. Cybersecurity has also been optimized in EPM 6.0. For this purpose, EPM Portal and EPM Web Server now run exclusively on HTTPS, the protocol that provides reliability and integrity for communication between users and websites.

In order to increase data security, the Interface Servers’ buffer files are no longer limited in size. Thus, if connection to the EPM Server is down, the data is saved in the buffer until all available space in disk is full. And to broaden the scope of its analyses, EPM 6.0 allows users to open dashboards externally to EPM Portal, via any iFrame, website, and other web tools, including via frames in the SCADA system.

EPM 6.0 can also easily integrate to Elipse Water, Elipse Software’s new platform for smart control and integrated management of sanitation systems. This integration allows real-time data to be automatically stored in a structured, hierarchical way, which facilitates the generation of reports, calculations, visualization, analyses, and artificial intelligence.

It also offers the opportunity to develop applications for continuous improvement, operational intelligence, and smarter information management. Once integrated to Elipse Water, EPM 6.0 will feature its additional modules, such as Typical Curves, Hydric Balance, and chat bot.
