Since 2007, Elipse has been providing IEC 61850 technologies in Taiwan, being, currently, one of the main suppliers of substation automation solutions to Taipower, the major power company in that country. The training room has been built at the Taiwanese company education center to enable its operation and maintenance staff to be familiar with IEC 61850 standards.<\/p>\n<p>The education center has been equipped with a local SCADA system in compliance with IEC 61850 substation architecture to simulate operation procedures and provide trainees with a realistic IEC 61850 environment. Baufarm, one of the most important Elipse partners in Asia, developed this application.
