Elipse Tech Asia 2014 was a technical event promoted by Elipse Software focuses on delivering Elipse software’s innovation, technology, and knowledge, building a business networks among its Asia’s partners. The event took place at Sizihwan Sunset Beach Resort, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on November 3. It comprised a series of talks and seminars about innovations and applications for the company’s solutions focused in the areas of automation, power, and information.
Evan Liu, the company’s Taiwan branch manager, opened the event discussing Smart Grid and Self-Healing applications. Next, Alexandre Balestrin Corrêa, Elipse’s Development Director, talked about Elipse Mobile, the new technology that allows you to access SCADA applications via tablet or smartphone.
The event continued with six other presentations. Terry Liu, Elipse’s technical support engineer in Taiwan, talked about Elipse Plant Manager, a tool for analyzing information in real time, followed by Julien Goy, also from Elipse’s Taiwanese technical support team, who talked about distribution management system in Smart Grid at Elektro, the largest electricity distribution company in Brazil.
The event also featured some of Elipse’s main partners in Asia. David Liu, manager at Baufarm, a Taiwanese company, talked about smart substation applications. After that, Nguyen Ky Anh, from Joint Stock Company (Vietnam), talked about the SCADA market in his country. Hernowo, manager at P.T. Winindo Karya Dinamika (Indonesia), talked about Wide Area measurement and control over GSM. And finally, Jhon Young-Shin, CEO of HS Engineering in South Korea, discussed Gateway solutions. At the end of the event, each speaker received a certificate on behalf of Elipse Software for their participation at Elipse Tech Asia 2014.
