Between January 28 and 30, Elipse Software presented their solutions for the energy market at Distributech 2014. Regarded as the main meeting place for conducting business in the utilities and smart grids areas in North America, the fair was held in San Antonio, Texas (USA).
Elipse Power HMI, the ideal technology for electrical substation automation, was one of the solutions presented by the company. From a powerful electric modeler, a number of features allows the reduction of setup and commissioning time. With this technology adds greater reliability and security to the system which, in turn, consists of an integrated tool to work as a local operator interface and communication gateway.
Elipse Power DMS, another solution exhibited at the fair, is a set of intelligence modules to manage distribution networks. The technology is able to identify faults by means of the electrical registration and the data provided by devices monitored by the SCADA system and by instances treated by OMS devices, displaying the result via GoogleMaps ™. The intervals and the number of de-energized consumers on the network are also calculated and displayed by the module. Additionally, the solution enables calculating secure recomposition maneuvers that do not exceed the power capacity of the network, thereby providing greater system reliability.
Present at Distributech since 2011, Elipse’s commercial manager, Claudia Messias, emphasizes the importance of attending this event.
